Originally from Minsk, before the collapse of the USSR Svetlana was the director of the student philharmonic orchestra at the Institute of Culture. Svetlana was also a co-founder of the “Alternative Cinema” club. She is a witness to the emergence of the first civil society structures in Belarus.
