Zviad Koridze

Zviad from Tbilisi is one of the most well-known journalists in Georgia. He was a correspondent and chief editor of 7 Days, a weekly newspaper founded by the Union of Journalists of Independent Publications. In the 1980s he was working as a correspondent of “Young Communist” and a journalist on the state radio show “Rush hour”. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Zviad was actively involved in the social and political life of the country and in the development of free media. He was head of the newsroom of Rustavi 2 TV and chief editor of Georgia Newspaper. He is a member of the Union of Journalists of Independent Publications and also a chairman of the State Pardon Commission.
