The speaks about his life as a Jew from Odessa, of his failed attempt to enter studies because of his nationality, and how he managed to go from construction work to the first international cooperative. He graduated from the Technical School of Industrial Automation and eventually evening classes at the Odessa Engineering and Construction Institute. During perestroika he worked as a molder in museums and theaters. He is actively involved in the Jewish life of the city.
